Why Board Rankings Was Founded
Every year, hundreds of thousands of Pakistani students appear for Matriculation (SSC) and Intermediate (HSSC) board examinations. However, when results are announced, students and parents are presented with enormous, unsearchable PDF gazettes containing over 5,000 pages of raw text.
A student who scored 985 marks in Pre-Medical had no easy way to know: "Where do I stand nationally?", "What is my exact percentile?", or "Which university programs can I actually get admitted into?" Similarly, parents evaluating colleges for their children had no objective data on pass rates, score distributions, or top achievers.
Board Rankings Pakistan was created by Hyphen Co. Ltd. to solve this fundamental information gap. We believe merit should be transparent, accessible, and celebrated.

Our Data Integrity & Ranking Methodology
Integrity is the cornerstone of Board Rankings. We do not accept private submissions or unverified claims. All analytics are derived strictly through automated parsing of official gazettes:
- Candidate Percentile: Exact mathematical percentile derived from the complete active cohort of examination candidates.
- Institutional Academic Score: A composite weighted index factoring candidate pass percentage, average student percentage, high achiever density (≥80% A-1 grade), and cohort size normalization.
- Zero Commercial Bias: Leaderboard positions cannot be bought or sponsored. Ranking is 100% merit-based.

Currently, Board Rankings provides full analytics for the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad. We are actively expanding our data pipelines to support all regional boards in Pakistan:
